The Night's Almost Beginning

Trace smiled opening his eyes and looked to the bewildered DJ and patrons around who drove themselves into a euphoric state that Trace was soon to reach, he could feel himself becoming something, he couldn't place his finger on it, but perhaps it was satisfied? Something he had never really experienced.

Trace continued to sway with the young wolf and smiled, The night life was fairly allright from a commoners prespective, most of Trace's experiences had been high-ranking hotels with the desk women or modelling after parties, y'know the fancy but really boring stuff.

The young CEO smiled, He liked this girl a fair amount, not in a creepy sense but more in a "Your going to become powerful one day' sense. A voice in Trace's head soon sounded Dancing with women? Heh. Lame. How are you going to gain anything from this besides maybe earning a new employee? We should just go rang out the voice in his head, He shook his head and cancelled it out with a smile to the young girl.

He didn't know where to go from here, the whole experience was new to him so it all was a bit confusing on how the situation really worked.

Desoto would have something to brag about to her friends. Well, at least mildly rub it their faces. The fact that she convinced a business man to go to a rave was cool enough. Trace was alright in her neutral book. That might be the overly affectionate side talking because of the few drinks. She had scared her friends once where she was so overly affectionate and drunk that she had shape changed and was clinging to them and cuddling. Now, that would be cute if she was human. But a wolf that weighs nearly as much as a small pony is heavy, not to mention the claws and rows of teeth. She snickered at the memory.

Her stomach felt a little weird and seemed to squeeze. The air felt a little stuffy at the moment and she pushed that away. Nothing but a few drinks but maybe the mix of them were throwing her off. Without thinking, she twisted around, untangling herself from Trace, and dashed out of the tent to empty her stomach outside. Retching noises were scratched through the air as she vomited up the contents of her stomach.

A pounding headache was creeping into her head and she sniffed, standing up straight and rubbing her muzzle. She didn’t get time to ponder what had just happened for she doubled over again, emptied the last of what was left in her stomach. “Gweh..”

Thats our chance the voice in Trace's head rang out, the Buissnessman nodded, he was drunk but he knew his way back to the hotel, he began to make his way out a flap of the tent and placed his hands in his pockets, she knew where to find him now, he'd written his hotel on the back of the card anyway. He began walking the streets slowly, drunk and out of control...and thats when it hit him, he was out of control, the hunger sinked in.

He clenched his fists as he walked faster and faster away from the party, trying to make it to solitude quickly before it would sink in, that hunger that cursed him. A young drunk woman stumbled up to him and swung an arm around him "Where you going Mr.Big shooot?" she slurred, Trace twitched for a moment as she grasped him and tried to push passed, but she was to clingy, literally.

His mouth curled for a moment as he grabbed the girl and looked deep into her eyes "Oh I'm not going anywhere" he snarked, and his eyes began to spin, the girl began convulsing and soon her eyes glazed over, blood dripping from her eyes and mouth. Her memories filled Trace's mind...He now knew how to do unspeakable things to a man, no skill that he wanted to have but none the less he now had more intelligence, though very small amount, to his name.

Trace walked the streets leaving her body there and prepared to make his way back to the hotel room before the hunger sunk in again.

“I’m so dizzy… Hmn.” Desoto staggered, causing a few late night couples and a few drunks to scream at the large sight of a werewolf. “My ears hurt..” Claws ripped open her pants pocket, but she managed to grab her cell phone, she pried it open, falling to her knees and sitting where she was as the phone rang. “Dude..” Her left eye screwed shut from the headache that was forming in her temples. “I-” She had to hold the phone away from her ear as her friend yelled at her. “Guess there’s no need to ask ya ta come pick up a wolf then.”

The phone flipped shut as she got to her feet and ruffled her feathers as she rubbed the top of her head. “Come oooon, snap out of it.. Sober up faster..” Her sharp eyes just happened to see two people hugging or something. Her upper lip curled. They might be preparing to eat each other’s faces as she called it. Imagine her surprise when the woman collapsed and the man left her lying there. “O-oi..” Bounding over towards the body in a two leaps, Desoto dipped her nose and sniffed. Blood and alcohol poured off of her. Testing, Desoto rolled her over so that it looked like she was sleeping and stood up on her feet. “Nothing like air to clear up the head.” Her eyes scanned, the area, resting on the only person who seemed to be making an effort to walk straight. And leaving in a hurry.

“Che…” Trace could wait, she had something to chew on for a while, she growled as her wings swung open, shoving air aside and sweeping bubbles of it beneath her wings, another down flap and she was up in the air and trying to focus. “Flying is easy..” Nothing to run into and she wasn’t flying very high. A few more wing beats and she could tackle the woman’s murderer from the air. Not the best feeling for the victim because of the claws, but oh well.

Trace saw a shadow on the ground, was he being followed? Crap. He placed his finger on his earpiece quickly but realised if he called for help because he had skipped on some work, his grandfather would never let him hear the end of it, The young demonic CEO grunted and continued down the path, he couldn't do much about his situation and so activating his red-eyed curse he sensed the Aura behind him.

He felt his chakra begin to bubble up as he rushed forward, running faster than usual as his abillities were now enhanced, he was being followed no need to be inconspicous now. The young CEO reached into his pocket, what did he have? Recon weapondry. That would work somewhat, a collapsible Crossbow and throwing knives could go along way especially if they are laced with Puffer-fish toxin.

The CEO turned a quick street corner, maybe he could feast twice tonight after all, even if he was being followed by a large demonic eagle or something.

“HEH!” Her eyes narrowed as her lips curled up to expose her gleaming fangs and her tongue slid out a bit. The rabbit was running away; running away to it’s hole. It was rather comical. Her wings were larger and more powerful than any birds, making her faster in the air. Gliding and soaring was child’s play; she didn’t even have to flap to follow this guy. Plus, she was an expert at flying; inventing her own moves and attacks in the air that ranged from quick aerial recoveries and catching things, to diving and dogging projectiles. She got that a lot with garbage and bullets when people freaked out.

But no wonder he started running as if he was being chased by a hellhound. Her shadow cast on the ground was large, and her feathers looked rather tattered. She smirked inwardly to herself as she blinked and flapped once to gain more speed. No wonder she was called Demon. Her shadow was scary enough, and her black fur and black wings was the perfect camouflage to hunt at night.

Her voice was low and was swept away as the wind slipped past her, “What’s the hurry, meat?” She snarled getting excited and feeling the urge to sing her claws into something soft again. Not cloth this time. Desoto dipped her nose to stare at the ground again. "Rabbit.. Mouse.." She uttered before flinging her tail up and sank lower, though she had to beat her wings more. Her claws grasped at the empty air, her primal urge to howl building her her throat. It was released in a fierce snarl as her hands nearly snatched something out of the air. "Nearly caught a bat there too.."

Trace began to run faster, soon would be his chance to turn this game of cat and mouse back at the winged beast.

Trace continued to sense her aura as he manuevered through the street, As cars zoomed by he decided now was his time, rushing forward Trace scampered up the side of a truck to get a good look at the demon following him, as he commited it to memory he quickly held on as he realised the truck was moving quite fast in the opposite direction "damn it." he muttered as pushed the chakra to his feet and slid two throwing knives into his sleeves, getting ready for an assault.

Trace pushed the knives inbetween his knuckles to mirror her claws and smirked "Lets do this." he muttered and looked directly at the demon forming an illusion about his body that he resembled a large skeletal beast of the dinosaur variety, the fake kunai claws would help he guessed, it was all a matter of keeping the illusion going.

Cars were moving back and forth like ants. No time to focus on them; her meat, her prey was going to be eaten.. Well.. not. Eating people was disgusting, but she found she liked certain parts of the body more say the arms. Yes. She’ll take his arms right after she blinds him.

A skeleton beast greeted her eyes as she howled, “KWEEEEH! YOU WON’T EVEN MAKE A MEAL!” Her wings folded as she dove increasing her momentum and weight as she dropped like a rock, fangs bared and claws out like the talons of a hawk. Ram into it, knock it over. Then rip off the head. Attack, attack, attack. No mercy.

Trace laughed, it was usually what happened when Kenetics versed Kenesis, the young CEO leapt as she ran forward utilising the cursed eyes power of reflex enhancement and span in the air, pressing his feet out to come stamping down onto her back hoping to slam her against the truck.

He flipped back and threw two of the ten kunai as he leapt back from the wolf and in another tuck landed on a windowsill, scampering up the building he made it to the roof, now to most it would be a man slowly acending but due to the illusion it was like a Skeletal beast literally running up the wall.

Trace skidded as he flipped onto the roof and withdrew his crossbow, shifting the illusion now to a form almost rivalling hers, a large wolf like beast with large white wings, the perfect negative, lets see how she would do fighting herself

Seeing the trick, she spun around so that she caught the feet, her claws scratching through the bone of the beast. The air the truck was dispersing at it drove by, stirred her feathers. Her eyes widened and as the beast leapt off of her, her hands reached over her head, her claws sank into the metal and she flipped; ending with her right side up and on top of the truck as she wrenched her claws free.

Her tail lashed from side to side as her wings sprung open, her claws ripping up the metal of the truck she flipped up on to stand upon as she took off into the air. Desoto cut through the air with ease as she swooped overhead and out of reach, noting something of a twin as she turned to be on her back and gaze at the ‘twin.’ “That unoriginal? White wings, how comical.” Her body dropped and she flipped back over to swoop back into the air and fly straight towards the 'twin' with every intention of shaking it like a rag doll.

Trace's abillity allowed him to mirror the attacks of his enemies down the last twist, so when Desoto moved just as she had previously the young CEO had an idea, she was aiming for a large target and as she neared the tip of the roof Trace dissapated the Illusion, sending forward a crossbow-bolt directly at her, He was smaller now, his original form of Trace. "Bad Dog." He snarked as he ran forward and jumped nigh identical to Desoto but slightly above her, he planted his feet on her head and began to run along her spine, flipping off of her and falling towards the traffic. Bad Move. Veerry bad move.

Trace ragdolled across the roof of a car and skid across the road, god damn it it was a new suit too, being away from battle this long had done something to him. Or maybe it was that scratch on his leg. "Balls." he grunted and stood on the sidewalk "Like flying? Bet you got nothing on the ground..." Wow, that was his best attempt to get her to stop flying? That was pathetic.

Trace grunted yet again "Nyeh, take this!"He said shooting two more bolts, one shadowing the other a milimetre apart.

Desoto blinked, ducking her head and tucking her wings down to avoid the bolt. Her wings were still open as if she was still flying. Once again, she had the displeasure of being walked on as the bolt had distracted her, she failed to see the being jump. Her teeth nearly took off his foot though. But the one thing that ticked her off the most.

Bad Dog.

“AH?! YA THINK A DOG CAN’T EAT YOU?! I’LL DEVOUR YOU!” She howled as her claws just barley missed his foot and she bounded after him to launch herself into the air just as he jumped. “Let him be run over. It’ll be nicer for him.” She corkscrewed as a glint reached her eyes, barely missing her wing.

“Tch!” She dove again, this time dropping to the ground her claws out as she neared. Pluck him from the ground then drop him. “A dog's kinder in picking up thinks. A hawk isn't!” she snarled.

"Psh, So your a bird-brain then? Tch. I dunno whats worse, fighting an overgrown puppy or the identity crisis it suffers!" Trace yelled back to her, As she neared him he created the illusion of four large walls of earth surrounding him, The walls grew larger and larger still, behind the walls a ramp was created and Trace ran towards it, and finally sprang off it, Shooting crossbow bolts as he flipped over the large birdy-dog with a grin, He landed gracefully on a car and span out two knives as the car zoomed down the street

"Oh big and tough in the air, why don't you come fight like a ma-...A werewolf thing!" he barked, Though now he looked like himself he could do much more illusionary wise. He smiled to the large wolf and waved as if to say "bring it on", Trace folded his arms as the car zoomed down the highway waiting for the large beast to follow him. His plan would take place soon, The car zoomed along reaching a tunnel soon.

“Kweh! Birds can be smarter than humans, twit.”

As walls seemed to spring up from the ground, Desoto flapped her wings in front of her to slow her down. Her claws dug into the walls since she refused to land on the ground. The scuffle of feet from above prompted her to look up and bare her teeth. This rabbit was putting up a bigger chase. “Hnnn.. hah!” Her wings shot down again, propelling her up into the air. The sound of the bolts burying themselves into the walls were dull to her ears. Folding her wings to her body, she flipped over and was up in the air again, swooping close next to a trash can. He’d mock her? Her claws hooked onto the handle of the can and with her wings beating down, and up into the air, she hurled it at him with little effort.

Trace smiled to himself as the beast continued to chase him, animals seemed to be a soft spot, a soft spot to be exploited. Trace positioned himself and yelled out " Yeah! realy smart when they fly into the windscreen fifty times!" He yelled trying to get her to chase him down, nearing the tunnel.

Before the evil CEO made his way into the dark tunnel he saw a shimmering light flying at him, utilising his sharingan he fell to his back and extended his leg kicking the can lid into the air, then mirroring a diskus thrower hurled the disk right back at the beast, the darkness blocked out all feature on his body as he descended into the tunnel.

There he rode on the car, through the underground, waiting for the beast to follow him in, as he neared the centre of the tunnel he activated his red eyes, spikes from the ground seemingly burst up causing cars to swerve to attempt and avoid them, a road was now covered in broken cars, horns going off and the screech of breaks until the final snap.

Trace then grabbed one of the knives from his pocket, throwing it at the main power source for the lighting in the tunnel, shutting out all light around him. There he stood in pure darkness, waiting for the great beast to come for he.

Fast! Her eyes widened before they went back to slits and nimbly swept her wings down to narrowly avoid getting smacked in the face with the trash can’s lid. She heard it crash into a car and someone shouting vulgarities. Desoto was going to blind this guy if it was the last thing she’d do. All she had to do was attack him from above to claw out his eyes.. but that would be impossible now since he vanished into the tunnel the truck drove into.

“Tch!” Desoto hit the breaks, kicking her feet out in front of her to lightly touch the entrance to the tunnel as her wings swung out in front to push herself away from the wall. Her wings beat down faster as hovered there, gliding from side to side. She did not like underground places. You could say she was slightly claustrophic. Enclosed spaces were never appealing to her. Her pupils narrowed. She dropped the ground and stood up on two legs, ignoring the frightened yelps from the people walking by, and debated going after him.

After about a minute, “It’s…” She turned to leave letting the word hang, “Not worth getting buried alive beneath rocks..” The blaring sounds of horns blasted from behind her, making her jump. The sound was loud; created by a bunch of the cars! “No way!” Without a second thought, she bounded into the darkness, her eyes nearly blind without the faintest hint of light. Luckily her sense of hearing was good as well as touch and smell but she was moving at a slow, stalking pace.

“Yoooooo!” She sniffed, and held out a hand to touch something smooth and cool. Her hand traced over it until it hit something wet, and it was licked clean. Blood… Her head turned to look back towards the entrance. She had come this far already. It would be cowardly to turn back if she was afraid of getting buried underneath stone.

The wolf returned to all fours and began to walk forwards at a more carefully set pace so she would not get injured. If this guy could see in the dark she had reason to sit still and listen for any noise, but she was getting irritated. A crackle made its way into her ears and her head swung towards it’s general direction. Must be the lights to the tunnel, but shouldn’t there be emergency lights or something? Irritated with herself in more ways than one, she rubbed her muzzle as her lips curled up in anger. Screw it, she can blind that man some other time..
